By its usual standard of making the NWAC Playoffs, the HIghline Men's Basketball Team fell short of this expectation by missing the 2026 NWAC Championship Tournament. A play-in loss to Centralia ended its season with a 7-7 West Conference record and a season record of 14-17.
What let the team down more than anything else was poor shooting. The team shot 44.0% for the season, 23rd in the NWAC (33 teams). The 3-point shooting was 32.1% (20th in the NWAC). The team averaged 78.3 points per game while allowing 79.7 points per game. The team was solid in other statistical categories. Its 3.6.9 rebounds per game and 15.2 assists per game were both 9th in the conference, ans its 7.7 steals per game ranked 11th.Â
Individually, the team was led in scoring by
Dane Lewis at 15.4 points per game and 30.5 minutes per game.
Ian Prictor led with 6.7 rebounds per game, while
Kayden Lamebull-Ingram averaged 4.0 assists. Lewis and Lamebull-Ingram also led the team with 1.2 steals per game.
With seven players moving on, Head Coach Che Dawson will be looking to add shooting and an interior presence to lead the team back to the playoffs.
